Omni Providence Showcases Substantial Revamp

PROVIDENCE, R.I.

Omni Hotels & Resorts has wrapped a multimillion-dollar public space renovation at the Omni Providence Hotel that includes upgrades to the lobby, meeting spaces, indoor pool and coffee shop.

The renovations include all-new furniture and carpeting in the refreshed lobby, offering ample views of the Capitol, and entirely redecorated meeting spaces.

All breakout rooms and ballrooms received new wall coverings and carpeting, plus new pictures of the Newport Bridge and Point Street Bridge. A tile mosaic was also added that depicts a historic photograph of the city, as well as a nine-panel display of the elaborate river system of Narragansett Bay.

Morsel’s, the hotel’s coffee shop, was completely redesigned to make room for comfortable bar and table seating, and also displays a 60-inch TV and serves Starbucks’ coffee and specialty items. The hotel’s indoor and heated pool was also updated and now offers new lightweight wicker furniture and a new deck.

Located in the heart of downtown and connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center, the hotel offers 564 guest rooms and suites.
