SAN FRANCISCO
Park Central Hotel San Francisco officially debuted as the city's newest hotel, taking over the former Westin Market Street at the confluence of Union Square and SoMa, at 50 Third Street.
LaSalle Hotel Properties, which officially purchased the AAA Four Diamond hotel, has announced plans for a transition of the former Starwood property to a distinctive independent hotel.
One of the newest additions to the Highgate Hotels collection, the design and hospitality concept of the new Park Central Hotel San Francisco is modeled after its sister property, the historic Park Central Hotel in New York City, which recently completed renovations by the same owner.
The 36-story Park Central Hotel San Francisco offers 681 spacious rooms with sweeping views of downtown San Francisco. Situated in the city's epicenter just off bustling Market Street in the SoMa culture and arts district, the transformed property will provide easy access to local lures like the Jewish Contemporary Museum, Yerba Buena Gardens, Union Square Park, Maiden Lane, Moscone Center, Westfield San Francisco Centre, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and AT&T Park.
The hotel's current amenities will remain in place, including a robust fitness center, pet-friendly policy, The Murano Room for private dining, 23,000 square feet of meeting and event space, an expansive outdoor patio, and convenient, value-driven travel packages.
The hotel's on-site restaurant, MaSo, will continue serving locally sourced California cuisine by Executive Chef John Hart, and guests can expect to enjoy new seasonal cocktail and dish additions in the months to come.
