San Diego Hotel Revamps Meeting Space and More

SAN DIEGO

Embassy Suites completed significant renovations to its San Diego Bay – Downtown location, an $8.5 million project that includes total restoration of the property's atrium and lobby areas, updates to 341 guest rooms, a revamped fitness center and redesign of the meeting spaces, hallways and guest areas.

The most prominent element of the project is the newly designed atrium and lobby, where guests will find entirely new flooring, lounge decor and furniture, as well as a new fountain, a large-screen TV and a replica of the sculpture BIRD. When arriving, visitors will be welcomed by a brand-new front desk area, and an eye-catching concierge and business center. The atrium's newly replaced skylight improves the area's natural lighting and across from the atrium guests will find dining options ranging from snacks like Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins to full fare at the PFC Bar & Grill.

Other enhancements include new upholstery and flooring, as well as new decorative lighting fixtures, sophisticated planters and artwork around the entire property.

The establishment also improved its 5,000-plus square feet of meeting and event space. In addition to its fully equipped technology, updates to the meeting areas' floors include the latest light fixtures and furniture, which have greatly improved the setting of the spaces.

The hotel's suite offerings, which are comprised of Executive and Presidential Suites, have all been contemporized, including updated furniture and refurbished bathroom amenities. The property's gym was also completely renovated, and now features brand-new equipment, flooring and mirrors.

Additional revamps include overall structural enhancements, refurbished and modernized elevators and a complete update to the building's facade.
