The 110-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Winston-Salem, N.C., is set to open on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 125 South Main Street. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Winston-Salem Downtown will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. of Raleigh, N.C.
This is the newest Fairfield Inn & Suites in the area to feature a custom design and décor, which aims to boost guest visits via flexible features and a warm environment.
Located downtown and three miles from Smith Reynolds Airport, the hotel offers convenient access to Wake Forest University and Reynolda House, and is within walking distance to Innovation Quarter, Old Salem, Salem College and the Arts District in downtown Winston-Salem.
The breakfast area’s signature farm table provides a central gathering place where guests can watch television, meet up with colleagues or get work done. In the morning, guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast, choosing from oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles and additional healthy items.
The custom “smart” room décor warmly welcomes guests into a restful environment and includes a well-designed work area, an ergonomic chair, task lighting and electrical outlets where guests need them. A curved, mobile desk enables guests to create their own work space, while also optimizing their television viewing.
Additional hotel amenities include a fitness center complete with stretching zones, valet laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as fax and copy services. The hotel also offers a meeting room with 625 square feet of space to accommodate up to 50 people, as well as a boardroom with space for 12 people.
The hotel also features the Main St. Pub, a bar in the lobby offering a place for guests to mix, mingle and watch their favorite sports programming on a 60-inch HDTV. The bar features locally brewed beer and seasonal specialty cocktails. A large outdoor area features a courtyard with a 12-foot high fireplace.
Also in the lobby, the Main St. Grille serves classic American fare such as sandwiches, salads, specialty topped nachos and local NC hot dogs each evening.
