The 85-suite TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Wareham, Mass., debuted recently at 50 Rosebrook Place. Known as the TownePlace Suites Wareham Buzzards Bay, the hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Lafrance Hospitality Company of Westport, Mass.
Designed to feel like a community coffeehouse, the lobby includes a variety of seating options designed to meet different needs and also features a floor-to-ceiling TowneMap that helps guests settle into the local area by featuring suggested places to eat, popular night spots, recreation areas, shopping and other services.
Guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast every morning in the breakfast room, as well as 24-hour On Us® coffee service. For those who want a quick snack, guests can also select food and beverage items from the 24-hour In a Pinch® market.
The property offers king and double queen studio suites where guests can work as well as relax, with fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a large flat screen television, a sofa and task chair, and luxurious new bedding.
Other hotel amenities include an indoor saline mineral swimming pool, an exercise room open 24 hours a day, complimentary wireless Internet throughout the hotel and on-site business services, including meeting rooms, copying, faxing and printing.
The hotel also features the adjoining Rosebrook Event Center, a 4,500 square foot function facility with capacity to accommodate up to 400 people for weddings, corporate events, meetings, and social parties; it offers sweeping views of picturesque cranberry bogs.
The hotel and event center were developed through a land lease with the A.D. Makepeace Company, which also plans restaurants, retail, and apartments at the site. The hotel is located on Route 28 at the intersection of I-495 and I-195 and is the landmark building for the development.
