LAFAYETTE, La.
Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette, located near the city's vibrant downtown and less than three miles from Lafayette Regional Airport.
Formerly a Hilton hotel, the property has undergone a $12 million transformation that includes a total redesign of the lobby, updated guest rooms, new furniture throughout the public areas, renovated pool and sun deck, reconstructed porte cochere and revamped restaurant and bar concepts. The hotel is owned by Garrison Wright Prop Co JV LLC and managed by Hospitality Management Advisors.
Set on the banks of the Vermillion River in a modern 15-story glass tower, DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette debuts a fresh look complemented by white and neutral hues. Contemporary furnishings and vibrant artwork are seen throughout the hotel's public areas. The 327 guest rooms feature mahogany furniture, in-room safes and mini refrigerators, with many of the guest rooms offering views of the river. In addition to the hotel's accommodations, guests will enjoy a newly-updated outdoor pool and sun deck, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel's public areas and guest rooms.
Among its updates, the hotel also debuts SoLA Restaurant and Lobby Bar, celebrating the many flavors of the South as well as ingredients unique to Louisiana. Entrees like Shrimp & Grits and Roasted Semi Boneless Chicken with Pecan Meuniere are just two examples. The hotel's bar, 337, features a pool table, signature cocktails, local beers and creative small plates such as Crawfish Wontons.
DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette offers 22,000 square feet of meeting space suitable for conferences and receptions up to 1,200 people. Among the hotel's 11 flexible event rooms are a 9,409-square-foot Grand Ballroom, the largest hotel ballroom in the city.
