CHICAGO
Omni Hotels & Resorts recently announced the appointment of Hans Ritten as general manager of the Omni Chicago Hotel, a luxury property that also recently wrapped a major multi-year makeover.
In this role, Ritten will manage all day-to-day operational aspects at the luxurious Magnificent Mile property, including sales, marketing, food and beverage and future growth efforts.
Ritten joins Omni Chicago Hotel from Remington Hotels, where he served as general manager of The Silversmith Hotel for the last three years. While there, he achieved 15 percent RevPAR growth, as well as high associate and guest satisfaction scores. Ritten was also very involved in the Silversmith’s renovations, and managed the development of that hotel’s new restaurant. Prior to that, Ritten held managerial and director-level positions at One Ocean Resort, University Club at the University of Missouri, Marriott International, and Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
He attended the Hotelschool Heerlen in the Netherlands where he received bachelor degrees in business administration and hotel and restaurant administration. Ritten is fluent in English, Dutch, French and German, and lives in Chicago with his wife and son.
Omni Chicago Hotel features 347 suites and nine newly renovated meeting rooms, including the Chagall and Picasso Ballrooms, as well its newest addition, the Van Gogh Room, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Michigan Avenue. The property offers more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space in total, including event space at the recently remodeled 676 Restaurant & Bar.
