HARRISBURG, Pa.
Red Lion Hotels Corporation (RLHC) entered into a franchise license agreement with Hospitality Associates of Harrisburg, L.P., the owner of the former Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center located at 4751 Lindle Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The property is expected to convert to the Red Lion Hotel designation on or about May 13, 2015.
The newly flagged Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg-East is located east of the I-283 and Pennsylvania Route 441 interchange. The hotel has 274 guest rooms and 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including an indoor amphitheater that can accommodate 110 people. It has a full-service restaurant and a lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor tennis, shuffle board and basketball courts, and a fitness and health club; it also offers a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle bus.
When it converts this week, the Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg-East will be the furthest east Red Lion Hotel location. Nearby attractions include the National Civil War Museum, Hersheypark, Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex, ZooAmerica, Penn State Harrisburg and Temple University Harrisburg.
Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania and is situated on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. It is well-located near some of the largest cities on the East Coast, just 105 miles northwest of Philadelphia, 120 miles north of Washington D.C., and 170 miles southwest of New York City.
