S.F. Venues Team Up for Large Events

SAN FRANCISCO

Located in San Francisco's dynamic South of Market area, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco and the Park Central San Francisco, A Starwood Hotel have created SOMA One Connection, an infrastructure of hotels and unique off-site meeting venues—ranging from outdoor parks to museums to an underground wine bar—to seamlessly accommodate large groups requiring up to 1,500 guest rooms per night in the city's most sought-after destination.

"It's all about offering choices, customization and convenience to our customers. Three SoMa hotels, representing top hotel brands, have joined forces to simplify the planning process and provide only-in-San Francisco experiences for meetings, events and exhibitions wanting to meet in SoMa," explains Frank Manchen, director of sales & marketing for the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

SOMA One Connection provides a one-stop-network of 2,453 guest rooms and suites and flexible indoor and outdoor space to host events for groups of 10 to 2,000 people while the Moscone Convention Center continues to operate during its $500 million expansion. The three hotels alone offer more than 155,000 square feet of total function space.

SOMA One Connection's compact footprint is home to multiple off-site venues including the newly renovated View Lounge, located on the 39th floor of the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Known for its vistas of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Art Deco-inspired View Lounge can accommodate groups of up to 300 people in a club-like setting.

SOMA One Connection off-site venues include:

  • City View at the Metreon; Capacity 200-1,200.
  • Contemporary Jewish Museum; Capacity 80-900.
  • MaSo, Park Central San Francisco, A Starwood Hotel; Capacity 50-500.
