AUSTIN, Texas
Following last year’s completion of a $20 million meeting and event space expansion, Hyatt Regency Austin announced the start of a $12 million renovation and redesign of the hotel’s 448 guest rooms.
Located in the heart of Austin’s booming downtown business and retail district, Hyatt Regency Austin offers a full range of amenities, including the hotel’s signature Southwest Bistro restaurant, Marker 10 patio bar and the new Zilker Ballroom space, which is now the third largest event space in the city.
The inspiration behind Hyatt Regency Austin’s new guest room design is drawn from Austin’s vibrant music scene, found just adjacent to the hotel. Using creative rhythmic patterns, textures and play of light, the hotel’s newly designed guestrooms will feature a warm earth tone palette of rich browns, serene tans and greens to complement the Austin skyline and Texas Hill Country views. Stunning graphic artwork interprets a variety music instruments, and each original piece was created using X-ray technology.
Guest rooms will receive sleek upholstered headboards and modern LED lighting to round out the design and functionality of the room. Guests have complimentary access to Wi-Fi in guest rooms and public spaces.
The renovation project is led by DCA Construction LP and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
Hyatt Regency Austin recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation and expansion, including the addition of its 14,136 square foot Zilker Ballroom. Other recent renovations include: a skywalk that connects the property to a 7-story, 794 space parking garage complete with electric charging stations, and a new Starbucks Coffee store located in the hotel’s lobby.
Hyatt Regency Austin offers complimentary Wi-Fi access across all guest rooms and social spaces. The hotel’s Southwest Bistro signature restaurant serves locally sourced menu items with a contemporary flair. Other amenities include: a total of 23,000 square feet of meeting space, a seasonal pool with sundeck overlooking Lady Bird Lake and convenient PDA check-in.
