Worldhotels added another unique hotel to its collection of four and five-star properties throughout the world, the Timber Creek Inn and Suites & Convention Center.
Located just west of Plano, Ill., an hour outside of Chicago, Timber Creek features luxury suites and nearly 40,000 square feet of event space.
The convention center features 14,000 square feet of column-free convention space, 11,000 square feet of meeting and breakout rooms, and 7,000 square feet of open pre-event and gallery space.
The property’s amenities include refrigerators, microwaves and free wireless Internet access. A full-service breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is available to all guests, with Starbucks coffee served throughout the day.
For recreation there’s a swimming pool, fitness center, regulation-size sand volleyball courts and hiking trails through the wooded property. The Top Shelf Grill and Bar has a scenic open-air deck. Expansion plans include the soon-to-open Timber Creek Spa, additional restaurants and a water park.
The hotel provides access to a wide range of recreational options including Illinois State Parks, the nearby Hollywood Casino, Chicago Premium Outlets, Paramount Theater and Raging Waves Water Park. Located just east of historic downtown Sandwich, Ill., guests can explore the antique and crafters epicenter of the Midwest.
In September, the city is host to the Sandwich Fair, which is the oldest continuously running fair in the state of Illinois. Nearby landmarks include the Sandwich Opera House and world-famous Farnsworth House.
