New Cabo Resort Shows Off Unique Spaces

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico

Luxury lifestyle brand Thompson Hotels recently unveiled its first property in Mexico, The Cape, an upscale, 161-key beachfront resort.

Blending the Thompson brand’s signature urban aesthetic with a retro, 1960s Southern California-meets-Baja vibe, The Cape aims to bring a fresh approach to Los Cabos luxury.

Located near the southernmost tip of the Baja California Sur Peninsula, the resort is situated along the world-renowned surfer’s paradise known as Monuments Beach, and offers unobstructed views of the region’s most famous landmark, The Arch, from virtually any vantage point on property.

The property’s event space offerings include some unique and memorable spaces, such as:

  • The A-Frame boardroom – inspired by the surfing term “A-Frame,” the doors of this bright, first-floor space are glass paneled, allowing direct views to the Sea of Cortez and lots of natural sunlight.
  • Glimpse – located on the sixth floor rooftop of the hotel, adjacent to The Roof Top lounge, this space is a blank canvas for meeting planners and event organizers; the stunning view of the ocean and downtown Los Cabos are the evergreen backdrops, but the expansive, clean space allows guests to create unique occasions.
  • Look – an architectural gem, boasting 360-degree views by way of its all-glass walls; open to the public, this space can be reserved for intimate private parties up to 45.
