VAIL, Colo.
Destination Services Corporation (DSC), a Colorado-based event management firm, recently acquired Destination VIP, Inc. (DVIP), a robust Utah and Jackson Hole, Wyo.-based DMC.
Moving forward together under the name DSC, they will provide destination management expertise for corporate and incentive groups traveling to Aspen, Beaver Creek, Colorado Springs, Denver, Lake Tahoe, Vail, Salt Lake City, Park City, and Jackson Hole.
“This match-up has been a stellar pairing of like-minded teams. I’m thrilled at the opportunity to expand our footprint across the Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevadas, staying true to our roots as a mountain region event specialist. DVIP’s long-standing relationships with local hotels and businesses will be invaluable to all of our customers,” said Kathy Fort Carty, president of DSC.
The acquisition aims to bring expanded destination, venue, and event options for corporate, association, and incentive event planners and a consistent experience across the entire DSC collection of destinations. The merger will also benefit hotel partners with more exposure and increased business as DSC expands its national sales and marketing efforts to promote the mountain destinations to its 30-year client base.
The two brands will come together under the DSC roof and DVIP staff will be joining the DSC team. All Resort Group, the former owner of DVIP, will continue to operate its transportation services.
