SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.
Saratoga Casino and Raceway announced Monday the opening of The Lodge as a private event venue. Located on the corner of Nelson and Crescent Avenues in Saratoga Springs, the iconic venue will now host private events, parties and weddings. The Lodge will also be open for cocktails at 5 p.m. on all race days throughout the Saratoga Race Course summer meet.
The historic building, constructed at the turn of the century as the residence of Harry Payne Whitney, is undergoing both interior and exterior improvements. Renovations will be complete this summer, making The Lodge the perfect place for a cocktail after a day at the races or for private events this fall. The Lodge can accommodate parties of up to 100 guests inside and tented events for as many as 200.
”Restoring this historic space is truly an honor for us,” said Colleen Carlson, director of sales at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. “The Lodge holds a special place in the history of Saratoga Springs and we are delighted to be able to open it to our guests during the summer meet as well as for distinctive events year-round.”
The Lodge will officially open for evening cocktails on July 24, opening day at the Saratoga Race Course pending receipt of all approvals and licenses.
The first private event is the Daniel Pitino Foundation Fundraiser on August 3.
