CLEVELAND
Aimbridge Hospitality, the nation’s second largest independent hotel investment and management firm, announced it has finalized an agreement to manage the historic Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.
The property on Public Square in Cleveland, opened in 1918 and has remained an operating hotel for 100 years. Today it is part of the Tower City Center complex.
As Aimbridge Hospitality transitions the hotel to its proprietary management systems, hotel employees of the former management company will transfer to the new system. The hotel will continue to participate in the popular Marriott Rewards Travel Partners Program as well, and will accept Marriott Rewards vouchers.
“Transferring management to a new company is standard procedure in the hospitality industry,” says David Johnson, president and CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality, “The transition will be seamless for our hotel guests and clients and there will be no impact on bookings for upcoming events. We look forward to working with the hotel’s loyal staff to insure a first-rate experience for our guests.”
The property offers 441 guest rooms, 50 suites and more than 64,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
As Cleveland prepares to host the July 2016 Republican National Convention, downtown hotels are making plans to host an estimated 50,000 people next summer.
