Bellevue Meetings Mecca Boosts Spaces

BELLEVUE, Wash.

Officials of The Dow Hotel Company (DHC) recently announced the unveiling of a $12 million renovation of the 353-room (including five suites) Hilton Bellevue in Washington. The renovation focused on guest rooms, meeting space, the lobby, restaurant, bar and the creation of three new banquet and meeting rooms.

"Bellevue has grown tremendously over the years, becoming one of the nation's most prestigious cities in which to live and work, and the Hilton Bellevue has grown and changed along with it," said Murray L. Dow II, DHC founder and president. "This full renovation brings the hotel to 'like-new' status, with new services and amenities that speak to the wants and needs of today's business and leisure travelers."

As part of the hotel's new design aesthetic, hotel designers focused on the restaurant, lobby, guest rooms and meeting space of the hotel. The guest rooms received all new comfortable beds, new furniture with rich sophisticated woods, soft seating and drapery with rich hues and lush textures, sleek new wall mounted TVs, contemporary artwork and lighting. The guest room bathrooms were upgraded with new, modern glass showers. The showers and floors also were surrounded by upscale, new tile with clean lines.

Guest rooms and public spaces were upgraded to offer wireless high-speed internet, and new pre-function seating with adjustable laptop rests and convenience outlets was installed in the lounge, creating city-smart space where guests can balance business with leisure. Event and meeting spaces also received extensive refurbishments. The registration area and grand lobby has also been upgraded with a contemporary new look.

Hilton Bellevue's substantial meeting space includes 22,000 square feet of flexible meeting and ballroom space capable of accommodating up to 2,500 people and a free-standing, 34,000-square-foot exhibit hall suitable for car and boat shows and other, similar events.

The hotel offers two restaurants, Basil's Kitchen, serving Mediterranean cuisine with a Pacific Northwest flair, open for three meals daily, and Masterson's, an intimate, 40-seat restaurant open exclusively for dinner. At The Coffee Bar Café, guests can sip and mingle or grab and go.

Hotel amenities include wireless internet access, 40" flat panel HD televisions, oversized work area and ergonomic chair, multi-line phone with voice mail and step-out balconies/patios. Guest also can enjoy Bellevue's only outdoor heated pool, whirlpool, 24-hour fitness center and a full-service business center.

Located at 300 112th Avenue SE, the 10-story hotel is within walking distance of the Meydenbauer Convention Center and just a few miles from major sports arenas, Marymoor Park and the Seattle Art Museum.
