LOS CABOS, Mexico
Hilton Worldwide, in partnership with MetLife, Inc. and Thayer Lodging Group, recently announced the official reopening of Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, debuting phase one renovations following a multimillion-dollar transformation.
Hilton Los Cabos proudly returns as a refined beachfront resort experience, featuring reimagined culinary concepts, 65 new Club-level suites, a 7,000-square-foot spa and salon, and additional enhancements and upgrades property-wide.
Facing the Sea of Cortés on one of the destination’s only swimmer-friendly beaches, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is nestled between colonial San Jose del Cabo and picturesque Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the Baja California peninsula. Acclaimed interior design firm Hirsch Bedner & Associates was tasked with celebrating Mexican heritage in every element of the redesign, while also infusing the property with freshness and sense of place through custom curated artworks, carved wood furnishings and bright textile accents.
The resort unveiled the first phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation campaign with three new food and beverage concepts, Mio swim-up bar, Azul lobby bar and La Onda beach bar, as well as significant improvements to the resort’s existing El Meson and Madero dining venues.
Mio offers crafted libations with juices, salads and healthy snacks. The completely redesigned lobby bar, Azul was re-conceptualized as a subzero tequila and mezcal bar that welcomes guests with sweeping ocean views and glamorous cocktails immediately upon arrival. Set directly on the beach, La Onda offers a genuine local experience with ice cold beers and ceviches.
El Meson celebrates seasonal ingredients and local farmers with a farm-to-fork breakfast and sea-to-table dinner menu. Madero offers a creative fusion of American-Mexican comfort cuisine poolside.
Phase one renovations included a new local hat shop, El Sombrero, featuring more than 15 handcrafted fashions. In addition, the resort landscape was updated with private cabanas and hammocks, and considerable enhancements were made to the resort’s 375 guest rooms and suites, including hand-painted wall murals.
In August, the resort will unveil La Vista Club, an entirely new ‘hotel within a hotel’ concept with 65 rooms and suites, as well as exclusive privileges and luxury touches, including private facilities serving complimentary culinary creations for its members. The 65 club-level rooms and suites offer spacious interiors, extended balconies, custom made furnishings, marble baths and unique, members-only amenities.
As part of phase two renovations, slated for completion in September 2015, the resort will present a new spa concept focusing on holistic health, wellness and fitness experiences for guests. The 7,000-square-foot spa will feature 15 treatment rooms, three pedicure stations and four manicure tables, as well as a new Zen Garden and Movement Studio, offering an array of classes.
Phase two renovations also include the opening of Vela, a fine dining concept with world cuisine inspired by Mexican culture and an enhanced Cabo Kids Camp with all new programming for children aged four to 12.
The property offers about 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
