KANSAS CITY, Mo.
The Hotel Group (THG), a hotel management and ownership company based in Edmonds, Wash., with an operations office in Franklin, Tenn., just announced the acquisition of the Kansas City Airport Marriott.
The 384-room full service property features over 14,000 square feet of meeting space including 21 meeting rooms and function space ideal for business gatherings, social events or weddings. It is the only hotel located on airport grounds, 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City and has easy access to shopping and dining.
"This is our second hotel in the Kansas City market ... and it has strong investment potential," stated Douglas Dreher, President and CEO of The Hotel Group. "We are planning a full transformational renovation of the hotel and believe there is significant upside given its location in this stable and growing market."
The Kansas City Airport Marriott's current amenities include a Grand Pavilion with outdoor pergola, fitness center and indoor swimming pool. The property is located minutes away from the Kansas Speedway, Kauffman Stadium home of the Kansas City Royals and Arrowhead Stadium home of the Kansas City Chiefs.
