The Independent Collection (IC)—a growing collection of cultivated and intimate lifestyle hotels—recently added St. Gregory Hotel to its growing portfolio.
Located in Washington, D.C.’s Dupont Circle neighborhood, St. Gregory marks the third IC property in D.C. and the tenth in the Collection. The hotel is within walking distance of the National Mall, Embassy Row, the Powerful K Street Business corridor and boutique-filled Georgetown.
St. Gregory Hotel offers 155 guest rooms and suites, over half of which have a full kitchen and several feature balconies to take in city vistas. The property offers deluxe amenities, including M Street Bar and Grill—the hotel’s restaurant offering New American cuisine with International influences, and more than 3,000 feet of modern, flexible meeting facilities with the capacity to host up to 200 guests.
As an Independent Collection hotel, St. Gregory will develop more neighborhood partnerships and enhance its selection of local amenities.

On the occasion of joining the Independent Collection, the St. Gregory has also announced three management-level additions to the property’s experienced roster of staff.
Steven Wieder was appointed as the hotel's General Manager. Wieder brings more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, spending several years in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Over the course of his career, Wieder has held numerous general manager positions at properties around D.C., including Sheraton Pentagon City, Sheraton Suites Alexandria, and the Beacon Hotel.
Raymond Benoit has also joined the team as the property’s Director of Sales & Marketing. Benoit has more than 28 years of sales, catering, and convention services experience. In his last role, Benoit served as Senior Sales Manager for the Omni Shoreham hotel, managing accounts across the mid- and southwest regions of the U.S.
As the third appointment, Abdallah Meghzaze joins St. Gregory Hotel as Executive Chef at M Street Bar & Grill, where dishes are influenced by his Mediterranean and Moroccan background. Prior to joining the St. Gregory, Chef Meghzaze served as executive chef at Trattoria Nicolas, where he oversaw special events.
