Popular Palm Springs Resort Plans Upgrade

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.

Tribute Portfolio, the newest collection of independent hotels from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., announced the addition of the iconic Riviera Palm Springs in California, its first West Coast property.

Located on 21-acres in downtown Palm Springs, the resort has established itself as the go-to destination for locals and vacationers alike seeking the perfect desert getaway. Ahead of its debut as the Riviera Palm Springs, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, in November 2015, the property will undergo a multimillion-dollar upgrade, including the addition of a new pool bar, wedding pavilion and enhanced lobby.

The Riviera Palm Springs features 398 rooms and more than 52,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. The resort also offers a fitness center, business center, three outdoor pools, and an 11,000-square-foot spa with 18 treatment rooms.

Circa 59, the resort's signature Palm Springs restaurant, offers quality, eco-friendly seafood, boutique farm meats and locally-grown produce from the Coachella Valley.

Bars and lounges at the resort, include the Starlite Lounge, an ideal spot for a classic cocktail or nightcap; Sidebar, a sophisticated bar and lounge with a resident mixologist; and two poolside bars.

More Tribute Portfolio Hotels Incoming

Starwood's 10th brand and second collection of independent hotels, Tribute Portfolio debuted in April 2015 with its first hotel, the Royal Palm South Beach Miami, and recently announced two new hotels, including the Great Northern Hotelin London, UK and the Kiroro Hotel, Hokkaido, Japan. Future locations are slated for Coral Gables, Fla., Asheville, N.C. and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Starwood aims to grow the brand to 100 hotels by 2020, with locations in high-demand destinations and markets.
