The Sun Herald reported that a $14 million hotel-tower renovation will begin in November at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. The property’s casino and restaurants were previously upgraded in May 2014.
General Manager Jonathan Jones told The Sun Herald that the rooms would be “plush and modern,” with updated décor, new bathrooms, modern furniture, new flooring and fixtures. Last year’s renovations saw the addition of new restaurants and an expansion of the casino.
The Harrah’s Gulf Coast remodel will also include the addition of five rooms, bringing the hotel’s total room count up to 499, a much-needed upgrade for peak booking periods, according to Jones. The upgrades and additions are scheduled to be completed by mid-April 2016, if all goes to plan.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast offers more than 3,800 square feet of meeting space.
