Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Martin Diehr as the new director of food and beverage for LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. In this role, Diehr will oversee all food and beverage operations for the property, including its waterfront restaurant, BALEEN. Located in Naples, Fla., the 189-room property has more than 8,000 square feet of indoor meeting space as well as nearly 4,000 square feet of outdoor meting venues.

As a hospitality management graduate of The Emden State Hospitality School in Emden, Germany, Diehr quickly excelled in the industry, first serving as supervisor for food and beverage at the German Air Force in Canada and then at Disney’s All Star Resort in Orlando. He was also restaurant manager at Tampa Marriott Waterside and Marina, senior restaurant manager at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami and held several positions at The Ritz-Carlton Resorts in Canary Islands, Spain, Jupiter, Fla. and Greensboro, Ga. Diehr joins LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort most recently from Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, where he served as director of food and beverage outlet operations, overseeing a total of eight venues while achieving annual revenues of more than $12 million.
