SALT LAKE CITY
The Summit at Snowbird, one of Salt Lake’s most exciting new meeting venues, is nearing completion. This 23,000-square-foot facility sits at 11,000 feet atop Hidden Peak, offering sweeping views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains, a massive outdoor deck, and year-round Aerial Tram service. The entire second level of The Summit is available for meetings and group events.
The Summit is worlds away from the typical exhibit hall or conference room, and planners looking for a venue that will surprise, delight, and exhilarate will find it in this unique alpine venue, opening December 2015.
In other recent news, Salt Lake recently had the privilege of hosting the 2015 Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions, which brought 10,000 people representing 80 nations and over 50 religions.
The interfaith gathering was a huge success by all measures. Attendees participated in workshops, plenaries, and discussions tackling such issues as women’s equality, teen suicide, and climate change.
As Simhan Jeet Singh later wrote on faithstreet.com: “I found myself learning far more than I had expected. Watching Buddhist monks make mandalas of sand, walking through a traditional indigenous fire offering, speaking with people of various faiths about how the Holocaust related to their own experiences, listening to my favorite musician sing devotional Sikh music, observing a theater performance on religion and violence . . . each and every interaction I had was an opportunity to learn from my peers.”
Salt Lake was truly honored to welcome such a diverse and inspirational group. Those who’d like to learn more about the Parliament and its 2015 meeting can watch it here
