Final published figures for the fifth IMEX America, held in Las Vegas from October, 13-15, 2015, confirm that the tradeshow broke many significant records.
According to statistics now available on the event’s website, IMEX America 2015 attracted a total of 10,732 industry professionals. These included 3,030 hosted buyers, an increase of 4 percent on 2014.
They represented 54 countries with 26 percent from outside the US and Canada, notably 5 percent from Brazil, 3.5 percent from the UK, 3 percent from China, 2.5 percent from Mexico and 1.5 percent from Germany, India, Argentina and Australia.
9 percent in attendance represented associations, 21 percent were corporate buyers, 62 percent were from incentive houses and agencies and 8 percent were independent planners.
The show also attracted 2,053 trade attendees from 69 countries, an increase of 7 percent year on year.
The data also confirms that the number of prescheduled one-to-one appointments and booth presentations had risen by 7 percent to a record 57,000 while there were also 9,700 buyers at group appointments. 51 percent of meetings had profiles attached, another new high.
Figures also confirm that this was the biggest ever IMEX America. Overall booth space grew by 5 percent compared with last year’s record. There were 3,100 exhibitors representing 150 countries and 80 new booths.
