VININGS, Ga.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the opening of the Hotel Indigo brand's third Metro Atlanta area hotel, the 160-room Hotel Indigo Atlanta-Vinings.
Located at 2857 Paces Ferry, 20 minutes from downtown Atlanta, this boutique hotel sits in the heart of Vinings which was once known as the social crossroads for many in the area. As the young elite would travel to Vinings as a riverside retreat for social mixers and afternoon tea with the governor's wife, locals could be found socializing among their small farms, gardens and artist enclaves.
“This unique hotel truly reflects the local culture, character and history of Vinings,” said Jason Moskal, VP, lifestyle brands, the Americas, IHG. “Guests will be inspired by the artistry and allure of Vining's past which is seamlessly integrated into the design and service of the stylish [property].”
When guests first arrive at the Hotel Indigo Atlanta-Vinings, they will be greeted by a front desk resembling whiskey distillery barrels inspired by the abundance of local whiskey once produced in the area. Moving further into the hotel, guests will be surrounded by the influence of famed American folk artist, Nellie Mae Rowe, who previously owned the land where the hotel now sits. The bold color palette throughout the hotel is reminiscent of her work, and the wall behind the front desk is made of recycled bottles; a nod to the glass bottles frequently used in Nellie Mae's art.
Guest rooms have a more residential feel and feature plush bedding, hard-surface flooring with area rugs and spa-inspired bathrooms. Guests also have access to a 24-hour fitness center and over 3,200 square feet of meeting space, aptly named the Crossroads and Riverside Ballrooms.
At the hotel's restaurant and bar, The Public House at Vinings, guests can enjoy locally inspired dishes with a southern flair. Atlanta favorite, Jake's Ice Cream, even created Bourbon Pecan as a custom flavor for the restaurant. Signature cocktails feature house-made syrups and juices, as well as spirits from local distillers, American Spirit Whiskey and Old Fourth Ward.
The hotel also offers guests and locals the opportunity to enjoy seasonal and locally sourced food and drinks from purveyors such as Caly Road Creamery, Heywood's Meathaus, Revere Meats, Wild Heaven, 3 Taverns, Monday Night Brewing, Sweetwater Brewing Company and Red Hare Brewing.
The Hotel Indigo Atlanta-Vinings hotel is owned by Rialto Capital Management, and managed by Valor Hospitality Partners. The Hotel Indigo brand recently announced new properties signed in Los Angeles; Boston; two in Kansas City and one in St. Louis, as well as two new international signings.
