DoubleTree by Hilton recently opened DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, a newly built 209-room hotel, located in the city’s downtown business district.
The property offers ample Appalachian Mountain views, and robust meeting faciilites; the boutique-style hotel is owned by Reading Hospitality, LLC and managed by PM Hospitality Strategies.
The eight-story DoubleTree by Hilton Reading features a modern interior designed by RD Jones & Associates, featuring urban rustic décor, wood accents and a soft color palette. Locally-inspired artwork adorns the walls throughout the property, and guest rooms offer 43" HDTVs, mini refrigerators and in-room safes.
Additional complimentary offerings include Wi-Fi throughout the hotel's public areas and guest rooms, a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour fitness center featuring Life Fitness equipment and an indoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers free garage parking and shuttle service within a five-mile radius.
As part of its grand opening, the hotel introduced a new restaurant, Cheers American Bistro, open for all-day dining with seasonal menus that feature regionally-inspired farm-to-table entrees, such as gourmet burgers, salads, steaks and seafood. Guests can enjoy their meal in the restaurant's outdoor seating area, or start their day with the brand's Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast.
Featuring 27,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 12,000-square-foot ballroom, the venue offers a potential setting for gatherings and events of up to 1,300 attendees.
For smaller groups, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $59.49 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting Wi-Fi, meeting room supplies including a flipchart, markers, extension and power cord, and all day non-alcoholic beverage service.
