Radisson Bamako Reopens After Attacks

BAMAKO, Mali

Radisson Blu reopened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako, after the devastating terrorist attacks that occurred on Nov. 20, 2015, in which armed gunmen took 170 people hostage, resulting in 21 deaths.

“We are grateful to the President of Mali, Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, and our owner Mr Kome Cesse, for all the support they have given to the employees and guests, and to help us reopen the hotel in such a short time,” said Gary Ellis, general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako. “We would also like to thank the BMS Bank for their quick financial assistance required to reopen the hotel.”

Radisson Blu also thanked the local authorities, security and emergency services from Mali, and the UN, France and the United States, and everyone else involved for their support and confidence.
