The Westin Fort Lauderdale welcomes Chris Alto as general manager. With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Alto has a proven track record of success in leading outstanding hotel performance and guest satisfaction.

Previously, Alto worked with HEI Hotels & Resorts as general manager of Embassy Suites Boston-Waltham in Waltham, Mass. Before joining TPG Hospitality, he worked as general manager for Omni Richmond Hotel in Richmond, Va. Alto’s career in the hospitality industry began at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston in Boston, Mass., and Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, Pa., and later moved to the Hilton Lincoln Center in Dallas, Texas, and Melrose Hotels in Washington, D.C. Noteworthy experience includes, administering the completion of a $17 million renovation during a hotel brand transitioning, as general manager of the Sheraton Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The 298-room hotel has 22,000 square feet of meeting space including the over 5,000-square-foot Florida Grand Ballroom and the area’s only 33-seat amphitheater.
