It is with great sadness that all of us at the Meetings Today family report that our founding Content Advisory Board member and facilitator, Stan Aaronson, passed away Jan. 1, 2016, after a nearly year-long battle with cancer.
Originally from Sparks, Nev., Aaronson was a resident of Valencia, Calif., and longtime member and chapter leader of the International Special Events Society. He also held the title of performance accelerator at Mark Sonder Productions, an entertainment booking agency in the meetings and events industry, and operated his own company, Aaronson Marketing.
The musical performers he worked with included Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Eddie Money, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Marvelettes, Blood, Sweat & Tears and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, among many others.
He leaves behind his longtime companion, Carolyn Aaronson Dondero, as well as a sister, Marynne Aaronson, of Sparks, Nev.
