BOSTON
Starwood will soon have new Aloft and Element boutique-style hotels located in Boston’s Seaport district. The two new properties are taking shape on D Street, not far from the convention center.
“The combined amenities and appeal of Element and Aloft Seaport brings a whole new appeal to the Seaport for both tourists and locals. The location allows for access to everything the Seaport District and South Boston have to offer, and the rest of the city is just a short walk or ride away," said Michael Jorgensen, complex general manager. "Nowhere else in the city can travelers go to a meeting, borrow a bike for a ride by the harbor, cook a fresh meal in their room, and then enjoy an innovative cocktail ... without ever leaving the neighborhood.”
Element Boston Seaport
Element Boston Seaport plans to be one of the most energy-efficient hotels in Boston when it officially opens on January 14. Element previously made history in 2008 as the only major hotel brand to pursue LEED certification for high-performance buildings across its entire brand.
Designed for today’s healthy, active traveler, Element aims to redefine the extended stay experience with a nature-inspired design philosophy that is clean, modern and bright. Each of the 180 oversized rooms come equipped with a kitchenette, complete with energy-efficient appliances, and modular furniture appropriate for working remotely or recharging after a long day.
The hotel’s design takes advantage of natural light, with open, airy indoor and outdoor spaces including a lounge, patio, pool area and fitness center. Element guests will be able to take advantage of the hotel’s signature, complimentary RISE breakfast, with options like refreshing smoothies, wholesome granola, egg white omelets, fresh fruit, gourmet coffee and more. For those who prefer to make their own meals, the pantry in the lobby will have an extensive selection of fresh and local food items.
The Element Boston Seaport will launch with two meeting rooms for smaller groups.
Aloft Boston Seaport
Next door, Aloft Boston Seaport is looking to become the neighborhood’s best no-cover emerging music destination. The W XYZ bar and lounge will feature fresh cocktails, industrial design touches and neon accents, and host local musicians as part of its weekly “LIVE! At Aloft” series.
Other extras like keyless entry with the tap of an app and the ability to sync your own playlist through the included sound system in each of the 330 loft-like rooms add a modern component to the rooms.
The new Aloft hotel will launch on Feb. 4, 2016, shortly after the Element hotel opens.
Breathtaking views of the harbor, city and neighboring Lawn on D add to the feeling of being in the center of it all. Companies looking for meeting spaces that blur the lines between work and play will want to check out the Aloft function spaces, offering almost 10,000 square-feet for meetings, parties and other events, and just across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Summer Street.
