BEND, Ore.
Bend’s iconic Riverhouse Hotel & Convention Center overlooking the picturesque Deschutes River will debut a new name when it reopens to the public in early 2016, following a comprehensive renovation. The property will reopen as the Riverhouse on the Deschutes, paying homage to its scenic setting.
The Riverhouse team began an extensive $10 million renovation of the 220-room property late in 2015, encompassing a full redesign of its rooms and suites and a complete remodeling of the hotel’s popular public spaces. This included the reconstruction of its on-site restaurant, which will open as Currents.
Leading its hotel into its next era as Riverhouse on the Deschutes, Todd Cooley will serve as General Manager of the property when it reopens with its new face and name. Cooley hails most recently from Salishan Spa and Golf Resort located on Oregon's Central Coast, and boasts over a decade of experience.
Cooley began his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation and was recognized as the Oregon Hotelier of the Year in 2002 before moving on the work at to Oregon destinations including Red Lion Hotels.
An addition to its new name and physical renovations, the Riverhouse will debut new branding, a new logo, and a new website to complete its full brand refresh in coming months.
Riverhouse on the Deschutes features 30,000 square feet of function space.
