Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s portfolio of independent hotels, welcomed four one-of-a-kind properties to its portfolio, in the U.S., Canada and South Korea.
Autograph Collection Hotels’ global portfolio now consists of 96 hotels worldwide. New additions include:
Annapolis Waterfront Hotel (Annapolis, Maryland)
The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel is located in the city’s historic downtown and is known for its views of Annapolis harbor. The 150-room hotel is located just steps from historical sites, shopping, dining and popular harbor cruises that depart from City Dock and the United States Naval Academy.
The newly renovated property’s 8,600 square-foot outdoor patio, one of the area’s most popular event and wedding venues, was redesigned to optimize its breathtaking views while outdoor fire pits and clusters of casual seating were added for guests’ year-round enjoyment.
The Hotel Saskatchewan (Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada)
Located in the center of downtown Regina, The Hotel Saskatchewan was originally built in 1927 as part of the Canadian Pacific Railway’s collection of hotels. Over the years, the hotel has hosted many VIPs including the Queen of England, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Rolling Stones.
Recently the hotel transformed its public spaces, lounge and half of its 227 guest rooms (renovations of remaining guest rooms will continue through March 2016). The property’s 15,000 square-foot meeting and event space will also undergo a design transformation in summer 2016. The hotel’s newly renovated Circa 27 Lounge overlooks Victoria Park and is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
The Camby Hotel (Phoenix, Arizona)
Phoenix’s newest independent luxury property blends imagination, sophistication, and statement-making design to create a unique experience for leisure and business travelers.
The Camby was inspired by Arizona’s Five C’s—cotton, cattle, citrus, climate and copper—and its design, led by Stonehill & Taylor, was influenced by the state’s colors and vivid landscape.
The 277-room hotel features a restaurant and two bars, a boutique spa, contemporary fitness center and over 20,000 square feet of meeting space along with convenient access to the city.
THE PLAZA Seoul (Seoul, South Korea)
THE PLAZA Seoul is a luxury boutique business hotel, combining contemporary style with ultimate convenience in the heart of downtown Seoul. World-renowned Italian interior designer, Cuido Ciompi utilized a series of indigenous patterns, colors and natural elements to create an ultra-modern hotel celebrating Seoul’s rich history and traditions. The Plaza boasts a beautiful array of artwork, including traditional Korean craftwork and premium design items by famed Korean artists.
Hotel restaurants include TAOYUEN, a Chinese restaurant featuring modern Shanghai-style cooking; MURASAKI, a Japanese restaurant that combines modern techniques with simple and casual Neoclassic Kaiseki; and TUSCANY, an Italian restaurant helmed by Michelin-star head chef Maurizio Ceccato.
