Philly’s Navy Yard Available for DNC Events

PHILADELPHIA

PIDC, a public-private economic development corporation, has partnered with ESM Productions and Vetri Family to manage events at The Navy Yard during the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

“Philadelphia is the proud host of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, and we are excited to welcome convention attendees to the city and The Navy Yard,” said John Grady, president of PIDC.

PIDC has made The Navy Yard, located adjacent to the convention floor, available for private events for convention-goers and corporate hospitality groups. With over 870,000 square feet of space, The Navy Yard can host events ranging from 10 to 7,500 attendees. ESM Productions will manage all Convention-related events and Vetri Family has been selected as the exclusive food and beverage partner.

ESM Productions, a Philadelphia-based event production company, has been selected to lead the efforts to utilize the venue. ESM will supply its design experience, technical know-how, and production abilities necessary to transform The Navy Yard into one-of-a-kind event spaces.

“We plan to offer a very adaptable structure that can be used for a variety of events throughout the convention,” Christina Wong, vice president of ESM Productions, said. “We look forward to the memorable and exciting experiences that we can design and execute at The Navy Yard.”

The Marine Parade Grounds, a nearly 350,000 square foot space, offers an ideal canvas for any event, large or small.  In addition to the Marine Parade Grounds, there are other spaces available including Central Green, League Island Park, Crescent Park, and the Riverfront Greenway.

Rental of these spaces will include access to specially designed and developed infrastructure, including water, power, and restrooms. The Navy Yard is on the path of several shuttle routes in the area.
