Fans of The Amazing Race looking to hold an event in South Dakota better lace up their running shoes.
Now until March 10, Visit Rapid City is asking planners to submit their qualifying RFPs for meetings or conventions that are going to be held within the next year and a half.
Once an RFP is submitted and approved, the planner’s name goes into a drawing for The Amazing Rush. Two planners will be selected to compete in an actual race around Rapid City and the Black Hills.
The Amazing Rush competitors will each receive:
- Airfare for the meeting planner and a guest.
- Accommodations for three nights.
- Transportation for the Amazing Rush Race.
The Amazing Rush Race will take place on May 2-3 and teams of two (planner plus guest), will race around the national parks, monuments and other destination areas. Planners are competing to see whose team will arrive first at designated “Pit Stops” at the end of each leg of the race.
