SCOTTSDALE
The Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired Shannon Johnson as its national sales manager position covering the Rocky Mountain territory. Johnson’s region includes Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado. In this market, Johnson will work with corporate, association, incentive and third-party meeting planners.
Johnson comes to the Scottsdale CVB from American Hotel Register, where she was the territory manager selling to hotels and resorts all over Arizona. Previously, she held sales positions at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.
“Shannon’s knowledge and familiarity with Arizona’s portfolio of hotels and resorts will be vital to meeting planners across the region looking to bring their business to Scottsdale,” said Kelli Blubaum, vice president of convention sales and services at the Scottsdale bureau. “We’re excited to welcome her to the team and have her begin tackling the Rocky Mountain market.”
