Wendy Foster

The Irving CVB (ICVB) has named Wendy Foster, CMP as customer services manager.

Foster, CMP is a 25-year Meetings & Events Industry veteran with a reputation for exceeding expectations in leading award-winning teams in sales, special events and customer service. She has been recognized with 10 Industry Awards from organizations including Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and International Special Events Society (ISES).

In this position, Foster will utilize her vast experience and industry knowledge to give value added services to the clients of the ICVB and the Irving Convention Center.  She will serve as the CVB liaison for customers booking directly with Irving hotels, as well as assist with event planning and implementation details such as itinerary development, site inspections and coordination with hospitality industry partners to ensure highest levels of service standards.

“Wendy is going to be a tremendous addition to our staff team, although in her prior roles, we’ve always considered her an extension of ‘team Irving.’  She’s going to bring great new perspective to this role, and we know she will hit the ground running, thanks to her long-standing relationships with meeting professionals and industry suppliers in the DFW area,” states Maura Allen Gast, executive director of the CVB.

Prior to joining the ICVB, Foster was Managing Partner at Circle R Ranch for 18 years, building the family-owned business into a nationally-recognized special event venue which hosted events for an impressive list of organizations, including the National Football League, Major League Baseball, Harley-Davidson, FOX Sports, Barnes & Noble and Microsoft. In 2010, Circle R Ranch was profiled by CNN/Fortune as a Small Business Success.

Most recently, Foster has been a partner in Foster+Fathom, a Dallas-based Leadership Training and Team-Building Group, with husband Steven Foster. In 2000, Wendy and Steven Foster became the first husband/wife business team to earn the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation.

A past board member of the Meeting Professionals International Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter and past-president of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, Wendy serves as a volunteer advocate with The Boot Campaign, a national veteran’s non-profit.
