Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its Washington, D.C. Global Sales team with the addition of Daniel Ketelsen as director of sales for ALHI’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
In his new position he is responsible for assisting meeting professionals, association executives, incentive specialists, business executives and convention specialists in the Mid-Atlantic U.S. with ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and professional sales support for its more than 250 hotels and resorts around the world, plus distinctive Alliance members to assist planners.
“Dan is an outstanding addition to our Washington, D.C. Global Sales team,” said Jim Schultenover, ALHI president. “He will be a great advocate for our valued clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, and a terrific asset for our worldwide portfolio of Member hotels, resorts and Alliance members. He is eager to assist planners in the region, by helping them to identify and coordinate the right site solutions at our AAA Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts for their meetings, conventions, and incentive programs.”
Prior to joining ALHI, Ketelsen served for three years as the director of convention sales - Mid-Atlantic Region for Visit Anaheim. Previous to that, he served for 17 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which includes four years as the director of sales & marketing for Hyatt Regency Orange County in California, and two years as the director of sales & marketing for Hyatt Regency Calgary in Canada. His extensive experience also includes serving as associate director of sales for Hyatt Regency DFW, as associate director of sales for Hyatt Regency New Orleans, and as food & beverage manager for Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago.
Ketelsen is a graduate of Iowa State University, and is an active member of the PCMA Capital Chapter. He is based in ALHI’s Global Sales office in Washington, D.C.
