Rosewood San Miguel de Allende announced the appointment of Paul Sykes as the property’s new director of food and beverage.
In this role, Sykes will oversee all food and beverage initiatives at the 67-room Rosewood San Miguel de Allende and its restaurants and bars, including 1826 Restaurant and Tequila Bar and Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar. The property offers 4,740 square feet of indoor meeting space as well as a 3,750-square-foot rooftop terrace, an amphitheater and an events lawn.
In his most recent role, Sykes served as food and beverage service manager at Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Prior to Banyan Tree, he worked for five years at Karisma Hotels & Resorts, where he held several roles including food & beverage manager, maître d’ and sommelier.

Sykes is a certified sommelier by the Mexican Association of Sommeliers and is a graduate of Brooke Weston City Technology College in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Tourism Management from the University of Derby Buxton Campus, also located in the United Kingdom.
