Turtle Bay Resort announced the appointment of Brian Hunnings as resort manager.
As the resort manager, Hunnings is responsible for supporting the general manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
Hunnings brings more than 25 years of hotel experience to his position including most recently, direction of hotel operations as executive assistant manager at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. Prior to this position, he was the area food & beverage director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts overseeing F&B operations in Hawaii and Polynesia. In 2011, he received national recognition as “Manager of the Year” by the American Hotel & Lodging Association and was named “Outstanding Hospitality Manager of the Year” by the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association. Hunnings holds a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury State University.
Located on Oahu’s North Shore, the Turtle Bay Resort offers 410 recently renovated guest room and 42 beach cottages. The resort features 25,000 square feet of indoor meeting space including the 8,960-square-foot KIuilima Ballroom that can accommodate 900 guests.
