Skoop, in partnership with industry influencer Corbin Ball, CMP, CSP announced the launch of a dedicated social network just for events industry professionals called “Meetings Tech HQ.”
Meetings Tech HQ claims to be the only customized “micro social network” built around a single industry that combines a highly relevant newsfeed, live polling, calendaring/scheduling capabilities and a messenger feature into one centralized platform. Through its cloud-based private community and front-end mobile apps, Meetings Tech HQ plans to serve the events industry with a dedicated social network designed to drive higher relevancy and conversations within its audience.
Powered by micro community builder Skoop, Meetings Tech HQ is available for Android and IOS.
“I am excited and pleased to offer this mobile-first social network to the events community,” Ball said. “It is my hope that it will be an easy and convenient place to connect, share and learn from each other.
Key features in the app include: Heartbeat, which is a social feed containing user generated posts and news; Schedule, where members can view and RSVP to Corbin’s presentations; Polls, a feature that allows a user to get instant feedback from the community about any topic they desire; Messenger, a powerful chat function to coordinate and communicate with anybody in the community; Sub News-feeds to drive relevant conversations with fellow members and greater user curation.
In addition, when users register for the Meetings Tech HQ built by Skoop, they are not required to “friend” or “follow” individual users; rather, they are given access to content from all members of that community. This promotes easy access to breaking news within the app.
The app is available for download on the iTunes and Google Play web stores.
