Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa announced the appointment of Karin Cohen as the new regional group sales director. Cohen brings more than 27 years of experience in luxury hospitality to the resort.

As regional group sales director, Cohen will help oversee and manage the principal markets of the Eastern Seaboard as well as focus on achieving regional sales objectives. Prior to joining Rancho Valencia, she served as regional director of sales at Regent Hotels & Resorts where she was responsible for managing and promoting the relationships with Fine Hotel & Resorts, Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network and Ensemble Travel Network. Cohen also served as director of business development for Shangri-LA Hotels & Resorts where she held the position of promoting and selling 65 hotel properties in various markets. Most recently, sheheld a dual role as New York office managing director and regional director of sales for Connect Worldwide.
Rancho Valencia is a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond resort, with 45 acres of gardens, trails, olive groves, casitas and more. The Mediterranean inspired, all-suite property offers 49 guest casitas with private patios, a three-bedroom Hacienda with a private pool and backyard, as well as 12 residential villas. There is a variety of meeting space and event venues on-site, from a boardroom to The Sunrise Room and Terrace that can accommodate 200 to the outdoor gardens.
