ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.
The St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches VCB announced the addition of William McBroom as director of conference sales.

McBroom is a 28-year hospitality industry veteran and prior to joining the VCB, he served as director of sales & marketing at The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center in St. Augustine, director of sales at The Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel, director of group sales at the Hilton Charlotte University Place, group sales manager for the Westin Poinsett in Greenville, S.C., director of group sales at the Charlotte Marriott Executive Park Hotel and director of catering at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa. He is a former board member of the Association Executives of North Carolina-Charlotte chapter, and is an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
McBroom, who is originally from Jackson, Miss., is an avid runner and cyclist. He has run in both the New York City and Charlotte Marathons and is a dedicated fund-raiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, having ridden in the MS 150 Charity Bike Ride for the past 22 years in the Carolinas and North Florida. He and his wife Veronica have one daughter and reside on Vilano Beach in St. Augustine.
