DANA POINT, Calif.
Miraval Group announced the kickoff of a nationwide expansion program with the opening of the first Miraval Life in Balance Spa at the five-star Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif.
The spa addition is part of a $40 million renovation of the resort’s 400 rooms and public spaces that introduces five new dining concepts and an expanded pool and pool bar.
The 30,000-square-foot spa features 24 treatment rooms, spa suites for couples, spa boutique, full-service nail salon, Drybar, Deborah Lippmann Nail Salon and relaxation and tranquility zones.
More than 70 of the signature spa treatments developed at Miraval Arizona are offered, including NÂGA and Shamana-Karma treatments and Ayurvedic, energy and body renewal rituals. New treatments, developed exclusively for Monarch Beach Resort, incorporate sea salt, crystal salt stones, algae and marine muds.
Miraval-inspired healthy menu items are served at the resort’s restaurants and Miraval Spa Café.
Concurrent with the development of Miraval Life in Balance Spas, Miraval Group is developing full-service destination wellness spas and resorts in key regional markets modeled after the Miraval Resort & Spa.
