BOULDER, Colo.
Stonebridge Companies announced the development of a Residence Inn in Boulder, Colo.
Construction on the project, located at 2550 Canyon Boulevard, adjacent to Village Shopping Center, began recently and the hotel is anticipated to open late 2017.
Boulder has reportedly experienced significant employment growth. The centrally located Residence Inn is one mile from the University of Colorado and Folsom Field, and two miles from restaurants and retail on the Pearl Street Mall. Google is significantly expanding its presence in Boulder.
Other top employers within close proximity to the property include IBM Corporation, Ball Aerospace, Covidien, Boulder Community Hospital, and Crocs Inc.
"There is a great demand for this type of accommodation in the center of Boulder near the University of Colorado," said Navin C. Dimond, president and CEO of Stonebridge Companies. "This Residence Inn will meet the needs of our guests by providing modern comfort and convenience.”
The 155-room hotel will aim to fulfill the Boulder area's need for extended-stay guest rooms with a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom suites. The Residence Inn provides travelers with complimentary breakfast, full kitchens in every suite, a fitness center and pool, on-site laundry and grocery delivery.
The official press release did not mention specifics on total meeting space.
