Fairmont San Jose announced the appointment of Marshall Jones as director of sales & marketing. Jones brings over 22 years of hospitality experience to the position.
In this role, Jones will direct hotel market positioning, continue to drive revenue results and increase overall guest satisfaction. He will oversee all aspects of sales, catering, advertising, public relations, revenue management, social media and marketing at the hotel.

During his most recent tenure as director of sales & marketing at Claremont Club & Spa, A Fairmont Hotel, Jones oversaw the sales and marketing departments through the completion of a multi-million dollar restoration, a Fairmont rebrand and the landmark property’s 100 year anniversary. Prior to this post, he served as the director of sales & marketing at Fairmont San Jose, for 10 years, where he effectively strengthened the hotel's financial position and elevated community positioning.
Previously, Jones has held progressive positions with Marriott Hotels. He began his career in 1993 with Starwood Hotels at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.
Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in public and urban administration from Georgia State University, as well as certificates from the Cecil B. Day School of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Berry College in business and economics. He and his wife and three children reside in Santa Clara County. While not working, he enjoys the outdoors, running and music.
