PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.
The Meetings Today Live! Golf hosted buyer program finished its first full day of programming at PGA National Resort and Spa, drawing meeting planners and suppliers from across the U.S. and Canada for a three-day program (May 15-18) that featured rounds of golf at the home of the Honda Classic, one of the premier courses in North America.
The event kicked off with a Sunday night dinner reception sponsored by the Florida CVB Discover The Palm Beaches, followed by a nighttime glow-ball putting contest. The second day featured a shambles-style golf contest on the PGA Champions Course, with a $10,000 hole-in-one contest sponsored by Bellagio Resort & Casino.
After the team golf play, attendees gathered for a one-on-one business exchange that matched meeting planners with golf resort facilities and other suppliers that fit their upcoming programs. The first full day ended with a dinner sponsored by Bellagio, held at the waterfront Seasons 52 Restaurant, located about five miles down PGA Boulevard.
Still on the agenda for Tuesday and Wednesday is an educational session with Meetings Today Live! keynote speaker Kristen Brown who is discussing her Happy Hour Effect strategies for minimizing stress at home and in the workplace. Followed by one-on-one appointments, more golfing and a reception and awards dinner.
