The AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center appointed Bob Danhauer as director of conference services and Philippe Wilhelm as director of food and beverage.
In this new role, Danhauer will lead the conference services team. Most recently, he was the senior director of food and nutrition for Morrison Healthcare/TouchPoint Support Service based in the Austin area. Prior, Danhauer was the general manager of food service at UT Southwestern Medical School. He has also worked at the Renaissance Dallas and at the Harrisburg/Hershey Marriott, both as director of event management and at the Marco Island Marriott.
Wilhelm will oversee and coordinate all food and beverage operations and initiatives. A native of Mulhouse, France, he began his career in hospitality working training as a chef in award-winning venues in France and Switzerland and spent more than 12 years working with the Disney Corporation in both France and the U.S. Wilhelm moved to San Antonio in 2004 after accepting the director of food and beverage position at the La Mansion del Rio Hotel and Watermark Hotel & Spa. The Watermark Hotel and Spa was ranked #10 Hotel in the U.S. in 2005 by Conde Nast Traveler magazine with the highest food and beverage scores in Texas. He then moved on as the food and beverage director at La Cantera Hill Country Resort in and most recently, the Eilan Hotel, both in San Antonio, Tex.
The AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center, located at The University of Texas at Austin, features 40,000 square feet of meeting space over 37 rooms and includes a 300-seat amphitheater and a 10,000-square-foot ballroom. The LEED Gold-certified property offers 297 guest rooms.
