Renaissance Hotels announced the completion of a $4.5 million renovation at Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. The renovation included updates to the hotel’s 27,000 square feet of event space.
Refurbishments to the hotel’s event and meeting space included the addition of a new interior color scheme, ornate lighting fixtures and updated furnishings and décor. The 586-room Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel houses three ballrooms and 21 event rooms for meetings of all sizes.
Hotel renovations also included upgrades to its in-house dining offerings The Ground Floor Cafe & Bar, Watertable and Watertable Lounge. Enhancements to dining spaces included newly furnished bars and modernized décor, furnishings and lighting updates. Watertable offers contemporary dining.
Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel hired local contractor Humphrey Rich Construction Group, Inc., from Columbia, Md., complete the interior refurbishments. Additional planned updates, slated to be complete in Summer 2016, include an extended fifth-floor foyer space with an atrium view.
The foyer expansion will add 1,300 square feet of pre-function meeting space to the venue.
