Dual-Branded Hilton Opens in San Diego

SAN DIEGO

Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of the dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayside and Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Downtown/Bayside, bringing a total of 364 new rooms to downtown San Diego. The property also includes 4,500 square feet of event space.

"San Diego brings in more than 34 million visitors each year, and with the large number of business and leisure travelers, it's beneficial to offer a variety of options," said John Greenleaf, global head, Hilton Garden Inn. "As a dual-brand property, this new hotel in San Diego will not only meet the demands of this booming tourism market, but provide diverse accommodations for visitors with varying needs."

Both properties are located at 2137 Pacific Highway, offering guests a central location and convenient access to San Diego's local attractions. Nestled between Little Italy and San Diego Bay, the hotel is near the San Diego Cruise Terminals, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego Convention Center and San Diego Zoo. Guests can also explore the nearby Old Town, Coronado Island and Mission Bay.

The dual-brand concept creates larger communal areas than what would be standard at a stand-alone property, benefiting travelers. The hotel has one distinct lobby, two outdoor courtyards for connecting and relaxing, a standalone restaurant, fitness center and rooftop pool enhancing the guest experience.

Hilton Garden Inn has partnered with Los Angeles based restaurant consultants, New School Consulting, to offer guests an elevated on-property dining experience at Pacific Standard Coastal Kitchen.

Meanwhile, Homewood Suites by Hilton offers a combination of studio and one bedroom accommodations, featuring fully-equipped kitchens, and separate living and sleeping areas. Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego participate in Hilton HHonors.
