NASHVILLE, Tenn.
Marriott International broke ground on its first triple-brand hotel in Nashville’s SoBro neighborhood. The 470-room, $137 million hotel is expected to open in mid-2018.
The project is being developed by Atlanta-based North Point Hospitality, which also unveiled a 300-pound model of the property made with 63,600 LEGO bricks. The hotel will contain a 209-room AC Hotels by Marriott in one wing and a combined SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott in the adjoining wing with 125 and 136 guest rooms, respectively. The property will have three distinct hospitality experiences inside, but a consolidated behind-the-scenes operations and spaces to reduce ongoing expenses.

Nashville's SoBro neighborhood has transformed over the last few years into a bustling area filled with restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Marriott has experience with the benefits of combining brands in single buildings and has 52 dual-brand hotels open, 84 approved and 32 under construction. Marriott's most visible example is New York's combined Courtyard and Residence Inn located in Times Square in a 68-story tower, the tallest hotel in North America.
